Ben Rigby-Beckett

Ben is a civil law barrister at Park Square Barristers with specialities in costs, personal injury, counter fraud, credit hire and landlord and tenant cases.

He has over 12 years of experience working in house at a Claimant practice and within the in house advocacy team of a large Defendant insurance practice. 

Throughout Ben’s legal career he has routinely delivered training to key stakeholders on various areas of practice.

Ben was called to the bar in 2012 having passed the BPTC with a very competent.  Following qualification, Ben commenced his legal career in the complex area of legal costs.  Thereafter, Ben moved in house to a Claimant firm of Solicitors where he became Head of Costs and cross qualified following successful completion of the LPC as a Solicitor Advocate. 

Following his tenure as Head of Costs, Ben joined the in-house advocacy team of a large Defendant insurance practice where he transferred to the Bar.  In this role, Ben substantially increased his Court practice, attending contested applications, fast track trials and costs hearings.   Ben also developed a busy paperwork practice and was routinely instructed to draft Defences alleging fundamental dishonesty.

In 2023 Ben joined Park Square Barristers.  Whilst he continues to undertake work in areas where he has previously gained experience, Ben is also developing a busy paperwork and Court facing practice in all aspects of Landlord and Tenant litigation.

Ben can be found travelling with his young family and pet dog Arthur.   He is a keen cook and loves playing tennis at his local tennis club.
