Emma Hardy
Emma is an E-learning Specialist for Kinch Robinson, with particular focus on the early careers of trainees, paralegals and junior lawyers.
Emma is a non-practising solicitor, with a wealth of experience in the legal industry. She has worked as a City capital markets associate, a Government litigator, a Corporate PSL and a content creator and curator for e-learning and online legal resource platforms.
Emma has also worked for the SRA’s assessment provider for the SQE as it was introduced across the legal market, giving her a unique insight into the training needs of those at the very beginning of their career. An experienced coach and leader, she understands the importance of excellent training early on in order to provide the foundations for a successful career in law.
Emma graduated with a first-class degree in English and French Law from the University of Liverpool and attended BPP law school, before moving to the City of London for her training contract and early career at Linklaters LLP.
She worked for the Government Legal Service in its litigation department, then moved into online content creation for FromCounsel, an innovative lawtech company.
She has also held the position of Academic Director at Kaplan, the SRA’s assessment provider for the SQE, where she led the academic team through the successful inaugural deliveries of the SQE.
Emma is convinced that in a parallel universe somewhere, she has a hugely successful career as a dancer on stage and screen, which is only very partially replicated in real life in zumba classes at her local gym. She loves spending time with her family, particularly dining out, which is lucky as she possesses neither the flair nor the patience for cooking.
