Laura Nelson

Laura is a civil barrister at Park Square Barristers in Leeds. Laura has extensive experience of personal injury claims arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work, accidents in public places and accidents/assaults in custody. She was appointed junior counsel to the Crown in 2023 and, since that time, has undertaken a wide range of work on behalf of a number of governmental departments including the Ministry of Justice and the Home Office, advising and representing the government on matters engaging human rights principles. 

Laura graduated from Northumbria University and was called to the Bar in 2016, shortly thereafter undertaking pupillage at Park Square Barristers in Leeds where she remains a tenant.

Outside of court, Laura enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her young daughter.
