Rachael Davis-Stollar

Rachael is a qualified lawyer, experienced professional skills trainer and performance enhancement coach. She devises and delivers training and development programmes for all career levels, with a particular emphasis on professional standards and communication skills (both written and oral), commerciality, client relationships and personal efficiency. She also creates tailored courses for business support teams and legal apprentices. Appointed a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire Business School, Rachael appears as an Expert Speaker on the Graduate MBA and has led a summer programme focusing on leadership and management for c-suite and senior management in the third sector. Rachael is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and also a qualified mediator.

Rachael graduated from the University of Nottingham with a first-class degree in Politics. She practised in the City throughout her career as a finance and restructuring lawyer, acting for banks, companies, directors and insolvency practitioners on advisory and transactional work in some of the toughest of circumstances during the financial crisis. She has worked in law firms and in a commercial role with a listed property development company.

Rachael has a range of voluntary commitments. She is a Trustee of Norwood (a national charity which supports children, families and adults with disadvantage or learning disabilities) and has sat as Chair of Fundraising and Chair of Community Engagement, as well as hosting their annual Volunteer Recognition Awards.  Rachael also sits on the Board of Trustees of her local theatre, and has been a Careers Academy UK mentor. Together with spending time with family and friends, Rachael’s other interests include catching up on films she should really have already watched, and occasional but enthusiastic attempts at karaoke.
