Management course stage 1

As from 1st April 2015, it is no longer a regulatory requirement for solicitors to undertake the Management Course Stage 1. However, these topics remain hugely relevant as all solicitors are required, as part of the new competency statement, to be able to  "Manage themselves and their own work" (Part D).

The focus of this excellent course is to explain the business rationale behind law firm management, prioritise delivery of excellent service to your clients and prepare lawyers to manage successful teams.

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:

  • understand the key law firm performance indicators
  • act confidently on information contained in financial reports
  • organise your people to deliver services that impress clients (and never disappoint them)
  • focus on developing competitive advantage
  • delegate effectively
  • get the best from your colleagues
  • consider your own development needs
