This is a practical session to address the recurring problems with meetings.

Do your meetings take too long and don't produce results? Our course will transform the way you plan, run and follow-up your meetings.

Our running effective meetings training course provides the techniques and skills you will need to make sure your meetings engage attendees, advance actions and don't take all day.

Course Content

We will show you how to handle the different styles or seniority of attendees along with how to work through an agenda to give responsibility and ensure your meeting ends with everyone energised and engaged.

The areas we cover include:

  • Specific criteria for your meetings - Key qualities including clarity, brevity and actions
  • Do you need to meet? - How to identify when a meeting is not needed or appropriate
  • Laying the ground rules - Eradicate some of the common irritants and barriers before you start
  • Objectives & Structure - How to draw up the agenda
  • Who's in charge? - The role of the Chair
  • Decision making - How are decisions made?
  • Ways to make the meeting process smoother and more effective
  • Dealing with the difficult stuff - Issues, people, discord
  • Client meetings, pitches and tenders - Creating impact in your presentations and practical tools for hitting the right note
  • Reviewing - The best meeting tips for busy lawyers
Format

A practical session that can be run as a high paced hour of excellent tips to a three hour session with an opportunity to prepare for specific types of meeting and practise minute taking.

It's highly interactive with opportunities to share ideas to best practice.
