Supervising trainee solicitors

This course is ideal for anyone responsible for supervising a trainee solicitor.

It looks at setting expectations, delegating effectively, and giving feedback that actually makes a difference. As well as covering possible problem areas, the course also explains the SRA’s requirements for supervisors.

In short, you’ll learn how to get the best from your trainees, and how to contribute as they develop into your firm’s next generation of lawyers.

After completing the course, your supervisors will:

  • be better at delegation and feedback
  • respond effectively when working with different generations (e.g. millennials)
  • know how to comply with SRA requirements for supervising trainees
