Lawyers that handle personal injury claims need to understand their obligations to notify the Compensation Recovery Unit when a compensation settlement is made. They must also be able to interpret the Certificate of Charges as well as the applicable tariffs.

Our e-learning training will provide you with an understanding of this process, what treatment charges are covered and how these may be capped.

As part of The Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003, a compensator is liable to repay NHS treatment charges if they make a compensation settlement.

This training provides an overview of NHS charges and covers:

  • When a Defendant is liable to repay NHS charges
  • How NHS charges are calculated
  • The procedure governing repayment of NHS charges
