Preparing for SQE2
The SRA does not prescribe any specific training courses for students preparing to sit SQE 1 and SQE2. In fact, candidates can prepare in any way that suits them.
For SQE2 this can include using the knowledge and skills gained during the period of Qualifying Work Experience (QWE).
Most trainee solicitors will gain experience of the assessed legal skills during their QWE, and qualified lawyers who want to requalify as a solicitor are likely to already have good legal skills. The one area where it is more difficult to gain experience and develop skills is advocacy.
For this reason, our SQE2 training will initially focus on supporting candidates to develop good advocacy skills, and confidence in their own abilities.
Keep checking for details of further SQE2 training courses which we will be launching or sign up to receive updates.
